I’m thrilled that you are considering me as the photographer of your special moments! I specialize in newborn and family photography. I have spent the last few years photographing and educating myself in all aspects of photography so that I could turn my love for photography from a hobby into a successful business.
My number one priority is to provide you with wonderful photographs, at a reasonable price, that go beyond your expectations!
If for any reason you are not happy with the photographs from your session (within reason), know that I will offer you another free session to try to meet your expectations, or provide your money back.
I’m a mother of 3 beautiful children, so life can be hectic at times…okay, who am I kidding, it’s hectic most of the time, but I enjoy the creative outlet in capturing all the little details and big personalities of my families.
Our oldest daughter Lilly keeps us on our toes, our “middle child” (I have a special affinity to her since I was also the “middle child”, but I like to think I turned out alright) Elin is 3 and loves to do anything her big sis can do, and our youngest son Beckett always makes us laugh. Beckett has a rare genetic disorder called Koolen DeVries Syndrome, which presents its own challenges, so the flexibility of photography has allowed me to make all his appointments while working around the schedules of my clients. Oh, I almost forgot my supportive husband Steve – he’s the one who helped make my passion for photography into the business it is today.
In another lifetime, I spent 5 years as a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nurse in Kansas City, MO before moving to Des Moines in 2013. Being a PICU nurse was challenging, fun, stressful, rewarding, and at times sad. I loved the people I worked with, but decided to stay at home with our kids after Elin was born.
I absolutely LOVE my job, if you can call it a job. I never truly understood the saying that if you do what you love, then you will never work a day in your life until I started Kelly Walsh Photography. I’ve had the great fortune of working with wonderful families and am honored each time I am chosen to share in your special moments.
I can’t wait to work with you!
